It's been way to long since I had time to take pictures for fun and for myself and it's been way to long since the last blog post. If you read my blog, you know I love sunrises . The spring has come to Luxembourg and I managed to get up early and go to a small field of daffodils in my neighborhood.

After a long time of silence on my blog, I thought it was time to publish an update, even a short one. As you might already know, I’ve relocated back to Europe in June 2016. However, in order to keep things interested, I didn’t go back to Belgium. Instead, I moved to Luxembourg - a small (998 square mile) country, between Belgium and Germany with not one, not two, but three official languages. It sounds like an intriguing place, doesn’t it?
Since the move, I’ve been busy with so many things, including my work recently, that I really haven’t had time to work on any personal photography projects. However, I’ve been discovering the natural wonders of this small-in-size but big-in-varieties and taking a few pictures here and there. I thought to share a few photos with you, hopefully to make some of you interested in visiting Luxembourg at some point.
Some things are not what they seem to be; sometimes what they are depends on who looks at them; sometimes it takes a bit of imagination, time or just a bit of light and shadow. Antelope Canyon, located on Navajo land a couple of miles from Page, Arizona, is such a magical place.

I think autumn is one the most colorful seasons to photograph. There is also something magical about fall, probably because it's the season before Christmas and everyone starts to prepare for holidays. As a photographer, I really enjoy taking pictures during the fall time when trees change their colors into vibrant and saturated yellow, orange and red. However, for someone new to the US (like myself), it can be a bit tricky to pinpoint the exact time when it's the best time to shoot fall colors in my neighborhood; or for someone traveling around the US, having an interactive map of fall colors would be a great help; or if someone needs to photograph only the yellow colors of autumn.
Well, there is something that makes extremely easy to figure out the right moment & place to photograph fall colors this year - 2014 Fall Foliage Map (http://smokymountains.com/fall-foliage-map). There is timeline slider at the bottom of the map so you can see how the autumn colors change going back in time or in the future. It also gives you 7 levels of fall color change, from 'no change' to 'past peak'.

Morning Glory Sunrise
I think sunrise is my favorite part of a day, and I'm not talking only in terms of photography. I love this warm feel of orange sun streaks on my face and the smell of freshness all around me. It's not too warm, actually a bit chilly and it gradually becomes warmer and warmer - that's how I feel sunrise.

As a photographer, I love sunrise because the light is low and it creates a beautiful texture on whatever it illuminates. That's why I was able to force myself into waking up at 4am on a Saturday morning, drive over an hour to a location I found a week before. Do the pictures look exactly what I had in mind when I found this location? Probably not. Was it worth waking up so early to take them? Definitely yes! Why? For the experience of taking these pictures and for experiencing the sunrise.

Let me make a statement first: I'm NOT a camera gear addict. In fact, I've been trying to reduce photo gear, or at least not buying anything new. Nevertheless, no matter how little photo gear I take with me, it's always way too heavy. After all, it's not my fault that DSLR gear is so heavy, right?

The information, which I received last week, made me very happy, especially that my work has been recognized at an event that is visited by a couple of hundred thousand of professional and amateur photographers and industry specialists.
I see I'm starting to come up with crazy titles for my blog posts :) I'm quite busy these days preparing a couple of commercial shoots, few conceptual fashion shoots and also few personal projects. But before I dive myself into all these shoots, I thought I should publish few nature and landscape photos - after all it's summer (at least in Europe). We should celebrate summer, ok.. I should celebrate summer for at least two reasons:
- we don't get much sun in Belgium (weather in Belgium S.U.C.K.S.);
- I've been spending way too much time indoors lately.
